Plan fit
How AI workloads map to plan size
Four plans, four workload shapes. The right choice comes from the shape of what you're running, not from a bandwidth number in isolation. Here's the honest fit matrix.
Solo · $149/mo
Fits a single researcher running evaluation scripts and prototype RAG pipelines. 50 GB residential covers ~100,000 prompts at median response sizes; unlimited datacenter covers most open-web scraping. 5 static ISP IPs for session-stateful RAG; 5 GB 4G mobile for cellular-anchored spot checks. 200 concurrent sessions, 1 seat.
Outgrow signal
You hit the 50 GB residential ceiling in week one, concurrency blocks on a multi-model sweep, or a teammate needs their own seat.
Team · $699/mo
Fits AI startups and mid-size labs splitting capacity between training and evaluation. 500 GB residential, 25 static ISP IPs, 25 GB 4G mobile, unlimited datacenter. 10 seats (extra seats $29/mo), 1,000 concurrent sessions, 99.9% SLA, priority Slack at a 4h response SLO.
Outgrow signal
Training-corpus pulls exceed 500 GB residential per month, eval cadence requires more than 1,000 concurrent, or you need 5G or dedicated gateway lane.
Lab · $2,999/mo
Fits academic labs, eval consortia, and frontier model companies. 2 TB residential, 100 static ISP IPs, 50 GB 4G + 20 GB 5G mobile, unlimited datacenter. 50 seats ($19/mo extra), 3,000 concurrent sessions, 99.95% SLA, dedicated Slack channel at a 1h response SLO. Dedicated gateway lane bypasses shared-pool queues on us-east-1 + eu-west-1 for latency-sensitive evals. Custom BGP prefix on request (additional fees).
Outgrow signal
Workload spans >5 TB residential per month or needs dedicated BGP / ASN announcement for publication.
Enterprise · custom
For frontier labs and eval consortia with workloads beyond the Lab envelope. Volume pricing from 5 TB/month residential; dedicated BGP + ASN; unlimited seats and concurrent sessions; 99.99% SLA with financial credits; named Technical Account Manager with 24/7 on-call. Custom AUP, DPA, on-site deployment option, annual contract, wire/ACH/crypto settlement.
Who's on this tier
Frontier model companies, multi-institution eval consortia, enterprise AI teams with compliance reviews that require the Enterprise stack.
Unit economics
Why residential is metered and datacenter is unlimited
The honest per-GB cost of a residential pool sits in the $1-3 range once you account for peer compensation, rotation overhead, and unblock support. At that cost, metering residential by volume is straightforward and lets you pay for what you actually route through real home broadband. A residential plan that doesn't meter bandwidth is either underpricing the pool (unsustainable for the operator) or capping concurrency so aggressively that effective throughput is low (frustrating for the customer).
Datacenter bandwidth, by contrast, is near-zero marginal cost above the fixed cloud contract. Metering it adds billing friction without reflecting unit economics; the honest price is a flat or per-concurrent cap, not a per-GB meter. On every plan, SquadProxy datacenter is unmetered for this reason.
ISP sits on a third curve — datacenter-hosted but residential-ASN-announced. The constraint is IP availability, not bandwidth, so ISP is allocated in fixed IP pools per tier rather than metered by GB. Mobile (4G / 5G) meters by GB because cellular bandwidth really does cost the operator in per-carrier SIM fees, and the metered price reflects that.
The practical outcome: a plan priced in one shape ("unlimited everything, $199/mo!") mis-prices against a real AI workload. The SquadProxy plan shape maps to the actual cost surface, which is why it's legible rather than flat.
More on the economics in the proxy procurement criteria post.
Academic discount
Research and academic program
SquadProxy runs a research discount program covering university research groups, academic labs, and non-commercial open-source evaluation projects. Eligible organisations get 30-50% off Team or Lab plans after a short verification call that covers: institutional affiliation, the research project, expected output (publication, dataset, or tool), and the disclosure posture for anything proxy-infrastructure-relevant.
The program is also open to third-party safety auditors (METR, Apollo, Model Evaluation & Threat Research, academic safety labs) whose work depends on geo-anchored evaluation. For those customers we waive the infrastructure fee and bill bandwidth at cost.
How to apply: email hello@squadproxy.com with your institutional affiliation and a paragraph on the project. We respond within a few business days.
Billing
Payment methods, cycles, and refunds
Payment methods. Cards (Visa, Mastercard, AmEx) are processed via Card2Crypto and settled to our USDC wallet on Polygon — you never send us card data. Native crypto is USDT on Ethereum (ERC-20) and BTC. Enterprise customers can invoice on Net-30 or Net-60 terms after a credit check, or wire / ACH against a contract.
Billing cycles. Monthly by default with immediate start. Annual pre-pay available with a 20% discount. Plans can be upgraded mid-cycle with pro-rated billing; downgrades apply at the next cycle boundary.
Refunds. 14-day refund window on first subscription. After that, cancellations are prospective — your current cycle completes, no further billing. No cancellation penalties.
Overages. If you exceed a plan's residential or mobile allotment in a given month, we notify at 80% and 100% of the cap; beyond 100% we suspend residential traffic (datacenter and ISP continue uninterrupted) or, if you've configured overage on your account, bill the overage at $3/GB residential and $6/GB mobile and continue. The choice is yours at signup and adjustable any time.

FAQ
Pricing questions
The ones we get asked most often before a customer commits.
Are your proxies legal to use?
The proxies themselves are legal in every jurisdiction we operate. What you do through them is your responsibility — circumventing technical access controls, violating T&Cs, or automating regulated services (banking, gambling, healthcare) may expose you to civil or criminal liability. Our AUP lists hard-no targets; everything else is yours to evaluate. How are you different from Bright Data, Oxylabs, Smartproxy?
SquadProxy runs a smaller, ASN-curated pool with honest sourcing. You won't see 100M+ IP claims because we've audited what we sell. In exchange you get tighter ASN mixes, fewer cooked subnets, and engineers who actually know the network. What's the difference between residential and ISP?
Residential proxies are sessions on real home broadband, rotating per request or per sticky window — priced per GB. ISP proxies are static IPs announced under residential ASNs from our own infrastructure — priced per IP per month. Use residential for breadth and diversity, ISP for persistence and latency.Do you support IPv6?
Yes — on our 5G mobile and select residential pools (notably JP, US T-Mobile). IPv4 remains the default everywhere; request IPv6 via the X-Squad-Stack: v6 header on supported pools. How does billing work?
Rotating residential and mobile are billed on outgoing bandwidth (GB). ISP is billed per dedicated IP per month, bandwidth unmetered. Datacenter is either shared-bandwidth or dedicated-IP/unmetered depending on plan. Overages are charged at the plan's per-GB rate; you'll see warnings at 80% and 100%.What's your refund policy?
We offer a 14-day refund on first-month subscriptions if less than 10% of bandwidth has been consumed. See our refund policy page for the full terms. Can I pay by card, crypto, or invoice?
Self-serve cards are processed via Card2Crypto (Visa, Mastercard, AmEx — settled to our USDC wallet on Polygon; you never send us card data). Native crypto is USDT on Ethereum (ERC-20) and BTC. Annual commitments on Lab and Enterprise can be wired or invoiced on Net-30 — contact sales. How fast is activation?
Self-serve checkout is instant — your gateway credentials arrive by email and are usable within a minute. Dedicated ISP allocations of up to 100 IPs ship within 24 hours; larger orders are a conversation.
